Whatever pays the bills, certainly, but Wushu did question this strange behaviour of humanity to desire to prove their superiority to each other. [break][break]

Regardless of motivations, it didn't like seeing those under its charge to be under any type of stress. And so it floated amongst the others in an attempt to appear powerful and status-provident. [break][break]

Humans were too weak. Not only did they need husks of metal in order to fly, some of them apparently required their own personal guard. Inside the flying vessel was a high-profile target; an important bureaucrat of the League. Chomper scoffed at the notion that any human could fancy themselves that special. In the dragon's biased point of view, no human could ever be more important than Andrea.

The Hydreigon's disdain didn't stop him from pulling off his glorified guard dog duty with pride, flying ahead of his fellow Dragon types as if leading the pack. It only seemed natural to him that he should be the leader, since he had more heads than anyone else, and he was also the best! With him at the front, terrorists would think twice before even attempting to attack this aircraft.

Alloy the Duraludon sat inside the aircraft, while the rest of her kin were outside, flying in the air. Alloy's LIGHT METAL supported her body, allowing her to freely move around inside without having to worry about causing any damage inside. It also made her somewhat faster than her brother, Tank. Normally, she never left his side, however, their master needed money badly. Despite the struggle, she was willing to do her part and protect the League Bureaucrat from the inside, while the other dragon pokemon protected the aircraft from the outside.

She also wished that Alec was there with her, although ... she knew that him being here was as likely as a Ghimmighoul evolving into a Gholdengo. "I bet the master went back to sleep," Alloy thought to herself. Alec had probably, woken up to get Alloy ready for the job, and then went straight back to bed, not really caring all too much for mornings. Sure he was lazy, but he wasn't all that bad. He was just ... trying to adapt to his new situation.

The ILLUMINA PHENOMENON can be seen from affair; the bioluminescent scales of the Dragapult shining proudly in the skies. The markings are of a bright yellow colour, almost neon, and they sure do well to make anyone who might spot the aircraft aware of the presence of its draconic escort.

P.O.G Bank may not be a security company (unless it comes to keeping your Pokédollars safe for you to spend, amirite?), but they sure do treat their customers well, and when said customer is a high ranking League Official wishing for a safe flight, Martín del Mar is glad to send one of his favourite Pokémon to help with the task.

Xanthos flies right beneath the plane, swiftly keeping up with its speed. The Dreepy that live in his horns are as alert as ever, watching out for potential threats, and on each of their necks there are collars bearing P.O.G Bank’s golden logo. Xanthos has one too.

This was what he had grown up doing. Flying alongside planes, keeping watch over the skies alongside his kind, while the pilot concentrates on their craft.

As such the Illumina Dragapult, glowing scales shimmering proudly in the sunshine, flies with comfort and confidence.

Even when the shiny Hydreigon bullishly pulls ahead to take the front position, X-Ray is comfortable enough to not intervene. It probably doesn't get to do this often, he thinks.

Training kicking in, he deaccelerates, letting the other dragons pass to keep an eye on the tail end of the convoy.

Second hand embarrassment is another motivation for the Illumina Dragapult to change formation and protect the plane rear.

Falling back in a smooth turn, X-Ray gives his identical brother the side-eye as he passes, silently judging that Martín del Mar has turned his kin into a garish, flying advertisement. His Dreepy not so quiet, chitter amongst themselves.

What would mum think if she saw Xanthos now...?

Alphamax stood on Ever Grande's open runway 35L, alongside the private jet lining up for its takeoff roll on 35R. While he could not see the VIP inside the jet, he was excited nonetheless. He could, however, see the co-pilot's head, who looked a bit frightened to see a saddled, rather large Garchomp taking off on a runway designed for an actual aircraft. If only Josh could see it, Alphamax thought.

When the Garchomp heard the loud engines spooling, he began spooling up his own engines. As the plane received takeoff clearance, he began running alongside the aircraft, his lower takeoff speed letting him get into the air much faster than the plane he was trying to protect. The two climbed into the air together, breaking above the cloud layer without incident.

With fluffy cumulus beneath and the roaring sound of multiple sets of jet engines the only ambiance at their great altitude, Alphamax relaxed, effectively flying on cruise control. He wished he could have taken Josh to see the incredible view. It truly was surreal being above the clouds and being able to see more than just a sliver of the sky out of a tiny, circular window. There was one problem with that, and one the dragon-shark was starting to realize as the sleepy flight went on.

It was really damn cold at cruising altitude.

Originally she was supposed to send her tree-dragon… how the hell was the Alolan Exeggutor a Dragon-type she could not comprehend, so…

She’d been advised to deploy a Dragon-type that could fly, so there was that. Either way, off went her Salamence, flying along with the other Dragon-types and generally having a good time.

While there were some draconids that were having a contest flying up ahead, her Salamence decided to cruise along within sight of the client they were escorting…

These were strange times indeed.

it's a beast that doesn't belong in this world, and yet, so does aircrafts that allow humans to fly among other things.

as far as the naganadel knows, it's born to this world. the amount of time it has spent here compared to its birthplace far exceeds it, especially if it was nothing more than cannon fodder back then.

right now, the ultra beast enjoys the company of its fellow dragons. it's an escort mission, but for it, the flight was a leisure stroll with its friends. they might not consider it, but it's only the naganadel's headcanon that counts for him.
